Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish actor and model since 11 November 1996. She made her feature film debut as a Bond actress on the set of A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she appeared as a character in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody played Nazi sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan donnevan starred featured in A Prayer for the Dying in 1987. Charlotte appeared in Taffin (in 1998) as well as Rebecca Flannery played Major League II. Doody was approached by a photographer and started to perform the role of a model. Then she began her career as a commercial model. Doody was adamantly against glamour, nudity and thongs during her modeling career. If she came to the director's attention for the role in a James Bond film, Doody was offered a small role on the film A View to a Kill (1985). Doody was named as one the twelve most promising young actors in the year 1986 in John Willis Screen World. 38. Doody She was just 18 when she played Doody in the movie A prayer for the dying (1987) with Mickey Rourke. Doody is the youngest Bond girl who has a name to her. Another early movie had her in a minor role in the role of IRA member Siobhan Donovan in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) that starred Mickey Rourke. Doody was unspoken in the film as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias during his dream, 1987's adaptation of The Secret Garden. Doody's first leading role came in the 1988 episode of Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller in the role of Sapsorrow with John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. The actress played Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. In the following film, she played her most memorable role to date in the film Taffin as Austrian Archaeologist and Nazisympathiser Doctor. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody is a part of the James Bond family, having acted along with Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in 1989's Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade. Doody costarred with Jonathan Pryce, in the British mini-series Selling Hitler. The series was an inspiration for the Hitler Diaries publishing scam. Then, she moved to Hollywood. She played Flannery as Flannery in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. After a long absence from screen Doody was back in the acting world by playing a minor role in the 2003's British comedy film The Actors with Michael Caine as her character in the awards ceremony scene. Her roles included the TV movie adaptation of King Solomon's Mines in 2004 and a book about the Holocaust, and an animated short called Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. In 2010 Doody was a character in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture (2010). In 2011, she was to play the lead role on The Asphyx remake, but the project was cancelled. Pam Jefferson, the character she played on E4's comedy Beaver Falls during its first season, which ran for two years. The following year, she was on the show as Pam Jefferson on We Still Kill the Old Way. In November, she won the Almeria Tierra de Cinema Award as well as a star on Almeria's Walk of Fame.
