Bernadette Peters
Bernadette Peters, also known as Lazzara, was born February 28 1948. She is an American actress, singer and children's writer. She has appeared in television, film, musical theatre and solo performances, and also recorded recordings. Her career spans more than six years. She is a highly acclaimed Broadway actor. She has received seven Tony Awards nominations (plus an honorary award) and nine Drama Desk Award nominations. Grammy Awards have been won in four of the Broadway album cast where she has performed.
Many believe Peters as the most effective Stephen Sondheim interpreter. She is most well-known for her performances on Broadway, such as in Mack and Mabel (1974), Sunday in the Park with George (1884), Song and Dance (1885), Into the Woods with George (1987), The Goodbye Girl (1993), Annie Get Your Gun (1999), Gypsy (2003), A Little Night Music (2010), Follies (2009), and Hello, Dolly (2018).
